1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the AMPLIFY conference website at amplifyhim.com, event registration and communications, and the Amplify mobile application (together, the “Services”). AMPLIFY Conference is associated with Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church in Houston, Texas.

By using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy. If you use staff features, your organization’s policies may also apply.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Contact and registration information, such as your name, email address, church or organization, role, city, state, country, postal code, and conference interests.
  • Ticket and transaction information, such as ticket type, quantity, order number, purchase amount, payment status, confirmation identifiers, and attendance or check-in status. Payment-card details are entered into Stripe’s hosted payment service and are not stored by AMPLIFY.
  • Account and support information, such as staff sign-in details and information you include in an email, contact form, sponsorship inquiry, or other message to us.
  • Subscription choices, including an email address and communication preferences when you request event updates.

Information collected through the Services

  • App identifiers and activity, including account, ticket, order, session, and authentication identifiers; a device name you enter or that the app creates from the device manufacturer and model; saved schedule selections; and check-in actions and times.
  • Website usage information, including pages viewed, page interactions, referring page, campaign parameters, browser, operating system, device type, and approximate city or region inferred from an IP address. We use a random first-party session identifier and a hashed form of the IP address for analytics; raw IP addresses are not displayed in analytics reports.
  • Standard server information, such as request times, network address, user agent, and security or error logs generated when a device connects to our servers.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

  • process registrations, ticket purchases, confirmations, transfers, refunds, and conference entry;
  • authenticate attendees and authorized staff and keep the Services secure;
  • display your ticket, conference schedule, speakers, and saved sessions;
  • support online and offline check-in and synchronize check-in records;
  • send transactional messages, requested event updates, and responses to inquiries;
  • operate, troubleshoot, protect, and improve the Services and understand aggregate website performance; and
  • comply with law, accounting requirements, and enforceable legal requests.
We do not use the app for advertising, and we do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

4. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information only as needed in these circumstances:

  • Service providers. Vendors that help us provide hosting, payment processing, email delivery, analytics, security, and technical support may process information for us. Stripe processes payment information under its own privacy policy.
  • Conference operations. Authorized AMPLIFY and Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church staff or volunteers may access registration and check-in information when needed to operate the event and assist attendees.
  • Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or legal process, protect rights and safety, investigate misuse, or prevent fraud.
  • Organizational changes. Information may be transferred as part of a reorganization or transfer of the Services, subject to applicable law and continued protection of the information.

5. Mobile app details

Camera and QR scanning

The app requests camera access only for authorized staff to scan attendee ticket QR codes. Camera access is optional; staff may enter a check-in code manually. The app reads the code to locate the matching registration. It does not save or upload camera photos or video.

Information stored on the device

The app stores authentication tokens, attendee ticket details, a chosen device name, saved personal schedule selections, and app preferences on the device. For authorized staff, the app can temporarily store an offline attendee directory and queued check-in actions so check-in can continue without a network connection. Staff can clear that offline cache in Settings. Signing out removes the applicable token and locally displayed account or ticket record; deleting the app removes its local app data.

Network and diagnostics

The app checks whether a network connection is available so it can synchronize data. The current app does not include a third-party advertising, behavioral analytics, or crash-reporting SDK. The app may make standard network requests to AMPLIFY service providers needed to load content and fonts or complete a ticket payment.

6. Retention and security

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above. Retention depends on the type of information: registration and transaction records may be kept for event administration, accounting, dispute resolution, and legal compliance; security logs and website analytics may be kept for operational and reporting needs; and subscription information is kept until you unsubscribe or request deletion, subject to records needed to honor that request.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures designed to protect information, including access controls and encrypted network connections. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

7. Your choices and rights

  • You may decline camera access in your device settings and use manual code entry where available.
  • You may unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in the message or by contacting us. Transactional ticket and event-operation messages may still be sent when necessary.
  • You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing us. We may need to verify your identity, and some information may be retained when required by law or for legitimate operational purposes.
  • You may clear the authorized staff offline directory from the app’s Settings screen, sign out to remove the active local sign-in record, or delete the app to remove its local data.

Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide additional privacy rights. We will respond to valid requests as required by law.

8. Children’s privacy

The Services are general-audience conference tools and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 without appropriate consent. If you believe a child has provided information to us inappropriately, please contact us so we can review and delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our Services or legal obligations change. We will post the revised policy here and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the Services or by email when appropriate.
